Happy Monday!! Today’s post finds me in San Francisco, the city I now call my home. After completing graduate school in mid-August, I prepared to move to Northern California to begin my first job post schooling. The transition from the Midwest to the West Coast came with its difficulties, but I am finally getting settled into my new home and my new job. I’ve been away from A Sketch of Sho for a little while as I regain my bearings. During that time away, I took time to really think about my blog, its mission and purpose. For me, it has become more evident as I have moved into one of the most expensive cities in the world, to truly find unique and atypical ways to get the style and look I want without spending a large percentage of what I have. I aim to truly live life to the fullest yet within my budget. With my personal style still being the primary focus, planning for investment pieces and finding the discipline to curb splurging are all techniques I am going to share on the blog as I grow. In my mind, the foundation and mission of the blog stands on the idea that when one finds a way to hone in on their personal style within their personal means, it can trickle into all areas of their life; allowing one to truly live a full life… in style. I’d love for you to share your tips for staying on budget. Leave your advice in the comments below! Also, keep an eye out for a post with tips, do’s, and don’ts when moving across country!
Thank you for reading and have a great week this week!
